Light Squares joins the Centre for Cryptographic Trust Infrastructure
We’re excited to announce that we are part of the new Centre for Cryptographic Trust Infrastructure (CCTI), funded by a £2.4m grant from the Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA) as part of their Scaling Trust programme.

We founded Light Squares with the vision that trust can only scale on verifiable infrastructure. That includes all digital assets from the software supply chain to sensitive data.
The CCTI brings together the University of Cambridge Department of Computer Science and Technology, the SINE Foundation in Germany, and the team at Ink & Switch. It’s a real privilege to work alongside such a high-calibre group.
As part of the CCTI, we will explore how Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) can enable better agentic decision-making between parties, and how heterogeneous trust anchors can be combined.
Martin Kleppmann has written an excellent summary of our ambitious goals on his blog.
